General Questions

Although this varies from pool to pool, the industry standard is running your filter pump 1 hour for every 10 degrees of outside temperature. If the outside temperature is 90 degrees, you would need to run it for 9 hours. If the outside temperature is 80 degrees, you would need to run it for 8 hours & so on.

Typical water loss for most pools is about ¼” per day. If you’re losing more than ½” per day, you might have a leak. Adding water to your pool every week is normal. Maintaining proper water level is necessary for proper circulation and equipment function.

Water chemistry is the most vital aspect of pool maintenance. Water that is out of balance could not only result in damage to the pool equipment but also to the interior finish of the pool. We will test and balance your water chemistry on each weekly visit.

With a set rate of labor, the only variable will be in what chemicals are used each month. Weather, temperature, swimming frequency & exposure all play significant roles in chemical usage. The chemical demand will typically be highest in the summer months, lower in the spring and fall months & lowest in the winter months.
